Frequently asked questions

How does Puzzport find my trips?

It looks through your photos on your device and recognises the weekends, city breaks, road trips, concerts and match days in them, then packs each one into a box of puzzles and memory games. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

What is in a trip pack?

First the puzzles, made from the trip's own photos. Then the questions: where was this, what came next, which photo belongs where. At the end your route lights up on the map, so you see how much you really remember.

Can I make a puzzle from a single photo?

Yes. Create a puzzle and pick any picture from your library, or choose one of the hand-drawn sketches of great cities, wonders of the world and famous museums.

What if I have no trip photos yet?

Open the sketchbook: great cities, wonders of the world and famous museums, drawn in soft pencil and watercolour, with ready-made packs to play straight away.

How do I send a puzzle to someone?

Send a whole pack or a single puzzle to family and friends. For those who stayed at home, every question becomes a guess. With Pro, a gift can open one challenge a day.

What is On This Day?

On this day, years ago, you were somewhere wonderful. Puzzport remembers and turns that photo into a puzzle, and the On This Day widget can bring it to your Home Screen or desktop.

Why did new puzzles appear for an old trip?

A while after a trip, a few new puzzles bring it back. With Pro, new little packs arrive a week and a month after a trip.

How many pieces can a puzzle have?

The free version goes up to 64 pieces. Puzzport Pro adds puzzles of 100 to 1,000 pieces, and up to 2,000 on Mac and the larger iPads.

Can I rotate the pieces?

Yes - turn them if you like a challenge. Pieces click together, wait in sorting trays and rest on a table that sounds like the real thing.

What are Party nights?

A family game on the big screen: the whole room plays together, guessing where photos were taken. Party nights are included in the free version.

Is Puzzport accessible?

Yes. There are still pictures, easier snapping, a magnifier and full VoiceOver support - every piece can be placed without dragging.

Do my puzzles sync between devices?

Yes. iCloud keeps your trips, puzzles and progress in step on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

What is free, and what does Puzzport Pro add?

Free: the sketchbook, puzzles up to 64 pieces, one ready-made pack of your choice, a pack from one of your trips, and Party nights. Pro is a single one-time purchase, with no subscription, that adds packs from all your trips and match days, puzzles of 100 to 1,000 pieces (up to 2,000 on Mac and the larger iPads), every ready-made pack - Great Cities, Wonders & Wild Places and Museum Night - new little packs a week and a month after a trip, and gifts that open one challenge a day.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or later, Mac on macOS 14 or later, and Apple TV on tvOS 17 or later.

How to choose a piece count

The right size depends on the time you have and who is at the table.

  1. For a quick break or young children, keep it small - up to 64 pieces is free.
  2. For an evening, try a few hundred pieces with Pro.
  3. For a long project on a big screen, go to 1,000 - or up to 2,000 on Mac and the larger iPads.
