How to split

How to extract pages

  1. Drop the PDF onto the box above.
  2. Type the pages to keep, such as 1, 4-6. 10- means page 10 to the end.
  3. Press Extract pages and download the new PDF.

To split a PDF into several files instead, choose another mode or use Split PDF.

How your files stay private

Most free converters upload your file, process it on their server and send the result back - so a copy of it passes through somebody else's machine. This page does all of the work in your browser instead. The files you choose are read into memory on your own device, processed there and handed back as a download; none of their contents is transmitted. You can switch off Wi-Fi after the page has loaded and it keeps working.

Frequently asked questions

Is the original PDF changed?

No. A new PDF is created with copies of the selected pages; your file stays as it is.

Can I change the order of the pages?

Pages are extracted in the order you type them, so 5, 2, 1 gives a PDF starting with page 5. For drag-and-drop ordering, use Organize PDF.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

PDFs that need a password to open are not supported - remove the password first in the app you use to open it. PDFs that only restrict editing usually work.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is opened and processed by your browser on your own device. Its contents are never sent anywhere - you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.
