Scritta does the repetitive part of putting words on photos and leaves the decisions to you. This page explains what it does on its own, how to change any of it, and how to get a carousel that reads as one post.
Once you have picked photos and written or dictated the text, Scritta splits the text into slides, chooses a place for each line on its photo, adds a shaded patch under the words so they stay readable, and can bring every photo in the set to the same light. Everything it chooses is a starting point you can change.
It reads each photo for calm areas - open sky, a plain wall, sand, an empty table - and places the line there, away from faces and fine detail. If you disagree, drag the line: nothing is locked.
It looks for the natural breaks between phrases, the places where you would pause if you were telling the story out loud, and gives each phrase its own slide. If a break lands in the wrong place, move the words between slides or join two slides together.
A small area behind the words, in a tone picked from the photograph itself. It is measured to the text rather than laid over the whole picture, so the line is easy to read and the rest of the photo keeps its light. It is the difference between readable and dimmed.
Yes. When you start a story you can let Scritta lay it out, or choose to lay it out yourself - on your own photos or on a blank canvas - and place every word by hand.
A title font and a text font chosen to work together, so a heading and the line under it look like they belong to the same design. The library is grouped by mood - fashion, editorial, business, personal, bold, technical - and you can mark favourites. The full library and your own fonts come with Scritta Pro.
A filter changes colour: warm, cool, faded, a golden hour or evening tone. A texture adds surface on top of the photo - a light leak, bloom, paper, cracks, blinds. They combine, and you can make your own of both on your phone.
Scritta can separate the person in front from the background, so a large word can sit between the two and read as part of the scene. It works best when the subject is clearly separated from what is behind them.
One tap brings every photo in the story to the same light, so pictures taken on different days, in different weather, read as one set rather than ten separate posts.
