Frequently asked questions

Where does the weather data come from?

Weather is fetched from public meteorological providers and updated every 15-30 minutes. You can pick your city manually or let the app use your Apple TV's region setting.

Will the clock cause screen burn-in on OLED TVs?

Modern OLEDs include pixel-shift and panel-refresh routines that mitigate burn-in. The app also slowly shifts the clock position over time and dims at night to reduce risk. Avoid running any static image at 100% brightness for very long sessions on any OLED.

Can it act as a screensaver?

Yes. Open the app and leave it running, or set it as the active app and let tvOS's normal screensaver behavior delegate to it. There is also a built-in dim-after-X-minutes setting inside the app.

Does it support 12-hour and 24-hour formats?

Yes, both. There are also seconds, day-of-week, date, and weather toggles you can flip independently for each face.

Is there a dark-hours mode?

Yes. Set start and end times for night mode and the clock dims its colors automatically so it does not light up the room.
